I would tailor your experience toward the new gig. Describe your accomplishments and how you developed new business relationships and drove profitability. Sales is about business sense, people and relationships. Focus on the areas from previous work that translate.

Great advice, thank you. I’m 41 and have a solid sales background but here lately it’s been all industrial/commercial construction projects. More management than sales.
