Twitch
I think that market is over-saturated.
Depending on what someone is doing, Twitch could be competing with X, Facebook, Youtube, Slack, Discord, etc.

They said Amazon will make $5 billion from adding commercials to prime. They have been offloading workers for a while too. Wonder if they are aiming for a big purchase and wanna free up cash for an acquisition

As consumers we have benefited tremendously from the cutthroat competition of streamers fighting to establish platforms and market share. We got tons of top quality content for peanuts.
That shite is over. Prices up and quality/quantity down. Soon we will be thinking maybe cable wasn’t so bad….

Amazon laying off hundreds isn't a blood bath

I can only speak to Twitch, but a lot of their staff is just unnecessary and Amazon wants them to at least start breaking even. They haven't turned a profit since they were acquired -- not even during the pandemic.
When I see big numbers like that I have to wonder just how bloated a lot of these companies are.
