How do you compete with Alabama and Georgia with no defensive line?

Guys that are historically back ups give us no shot to play with the big guys. It’s very disappointing to already know you will suck next year.

Defense is going to continue to be a project.
Linebackers are the only area we are decent at right now. Really need to get and hold onto depth at first and third levels.

You don’t. We are honestly 3 years away from even having a shot at being serious contenders at the rate we’re going. No shot next year and will need a few years to develop depth and develop whatever talent we get here.

People don’t want to hear it, but this was and is a complete rebuild. We are far ahead of schedule coming off of two seasons at .500. Kelly with 20 wins his first two years.
Look at Michigan. How many recruiting cycles did it take to get that program in the playoffs back to back?
It doesn’t come overnight. People need to get out of denial and acknowledge how fricked this program was, and they will temper expectations.

3 recruiting and portal cycles in and we have no DL and DB's that can contribute at a championship level as of yet.

Not as big of a rebuild in the portal and NIL era. Just a lack of competency if we go into next year looking anything like we do right now at DT and CB. There were many available and this staff didn’t want to spend the dollars.

I’m of the school that if your DL sucks, your Defense sucks.
If your DL is awesome, everyone else is at worst average. If you can disrupt plays and get after the QB, I can start at CB.
