Lsu will have trouble stopping the run in 2024...that much is evident with no DT depth

I'm still shocked at how many lsu fans still think Kelly took over a program anywhere near title contention.

Did you see last year's nfl draft? Watch this year's nfl draft and see how many defensive players get drafted.

Kelly took over a program with less talent than saban did.

Please tell me you're not saying we have sucked the last 2 years.

We are gonna chinese bandit them. speed kills. we are gonna have 3 different DL units with some mixing in guys like Trindon Holliday and stuff. We will rotate DL on every play almost like Spurrier used to do with his QB's one year. Fresh legs will prevail in the end my friends.

Alignment will cure all our problems, according to sources when Kelly was hired.
Does anyone believe we are any closer, next year?
He does seem to be more consistent in finding great Offensive players, Linemen, RBs, WRs, and QBs.

Offense has been rebuilt and seems to be ready for the long haul. Its time for BK and Baker to start building a defense that can compete in the SEC. If we in the top 70 next year than thats a start but right now we in bottom half of SEC on defense. The defensive recruiting definitely needs start getting back to LSU standards. Right now it still looks to be 2 years away.Hoping Baker can get that turned around with the new defensive coaches as well.

I used to disagree with you on your boy Les Miles but totally agree with you on what Kelly was handed. My only concern is he is going into year 3 and the defensive side of the ball is basically starting over. It needed to happen though and i believe baker is the guy to do it. Just sucks because it could be another few years before we see LSU back in the top 20 again on defense. Recruitng TOP talent on defense is where it will need to start to compete with bama, uga etc...
