I visited a walk in clinic affiliated with a regional hospital for shortness of breath, in need of a refill for a rescue inhaler.

The first question asked was my ability to pay upfront.

I told them I was uninsured but could pay some money out of pocket at that time. They said full payment was required.

I asked to speak with the doctor in hope of negotiating payment directly with the provider and they said no.

I was told to visit the ER or call 911.

No medical screening was offered.

I left upset, confused and with more shortness of breath.

I was then involved in a single vehicle motor vehicle accident where I was injured. I don’t recall what happened other than having trouble focusing on the road.

Should I call Morgan and Morgan?

You're upset that someone refused giving you services you couldn't pay for?

You should call Gordon so he can funnel a small small portion of his massive margins back to local football team. Everyone loves local football team, so everyone loves Gordon

Sounds like you need a pair of balls more than an ambulance chaser. Hope this helps.

It's a shitty situation, but I don't see the need for litigation.

So you were aware of your condition and you decided to get behind the wheel? How is this their fault? Why didn't you call 911?

They are a private business. They don't owe you shite. This is no one's fault but your own.

Did you ultimately get your inhaler? If so, from where did you get it?

As a serious answer - - you may potentially have a cause of action - - depending upon whether or not EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act) would apply to the urgent care facility. This is a fact based analysis and you should see a qualified lawyer in your area to address this - - even then, the only duty of the clinic would be to stabilize you as opposed to providing substantive medical care.

Nope, you need to call Dudley DeBosier. They ARE the "Official Injury Lawyers" of the Saints and Ragin Cajuns, and also the "Official Partner" of LSU Athletics.

This is on you.
If it’s that serious you gotta go to ER first.
Some idiot showed up at walk in clinic last week with a severed finger and held up 10 people with flu, cough, etc.
