Underwood seems to have a good character. Wants to be a Tiger.

What is happening with this fanbase? I’ve had a conversation with a huge group of people and 70% just assumed it meant nothing and we won’t keep him.

The fan base has PTSD, it will take time to get used to having a competent, calculating elite head coach again.

I'm reporting out of VA that he's only getting 2.2 mil and his parents can move themselves. That's how easy it is to report something that can't be proven without getting a whole lot of people in legal limbo.

Let’s add the context you are leaving out there. Raiola’s dad played for Nebraska and his uncle is on staff. Those connections go a hell of a lot deeper than just being the in-state school like Michigan is for Underwood.

Nebraska had also bottomed out under Frost and was gojng through a coaching transition. Top QB recruits typically want some program stability. Rhule did enough to get his attention in year one and they matched or exceeded what UGA was paying in NIL.

If Michigan can’t top us now when they play for a fricking title tomorrow, what are they going to do a year later to change that?

The Felipe Franks & Gunner Keil decommits didn't help the recruiting season PTSD, but much like 5-for-5, in retrospect, LSU was better off never getting them.

Michigan and Bama don’t run QB friendly offenses right now. We just had a Heisman winner and the #1 offense in 2023.

The bravado is appreciated, but there’s still a long time to go. If you don’t think there’s other schools already trying to poach him and the others, you’re naive. Saban is probably scheming in his sleep ways to get his tentacles on him.

Sounds like this guy is assessing a potential career opportunity.

Any poach attempts will fail unless Sloan leaves.

Underwood has been very tight with LSU for months and spent 4 unofficial visits with his family (including his parents' anniversary weekend) in Baton Rouge.

Alabama's been closely linked to #2 rated QB George MacIntyre the whole way and forecast is 80% likelihood (On3). If he commits to them over Tennessee, they'll have their 2025 QB. I don't think Saban's losing sleep or "scheming" to poach Underwood especially if MacIntyre verbally commits.

I'm way happier LSU has Underwood. Not only are his skills absurdly impressive, he started HS FB as a FR and SO and won 2 state championships, and he's ready to go physically. MacIntyre is an accurate passer but quite scrawny and needs 20+ lbs to not get crushed.

Honestly the best way to keep him engaged is what the staff plans to do anyway: put Nuss in a position and scheme around his talents.

QBs like systems that allow them to flourish and CBK has shown he has little reservations about giving the ball to QB1 and say “go win”

SIAP, but he addressed this in his post-announcement interview. He said that it didn’t matter where he went because his NIL opportunities were following him no matter where he goes. He apparently already has everything lined up. He isn’t going anywhere because of NIL.

A&M is preparing a new multimillion dollar NIL deal to offer him. It will be a fight to keep him.

Underwood isn't gay so no worries about A&M

Totally different now. The money will keep him committed.
You're under the impression he wouldn't get as much or more money at any of a number of other schools? Weird.

0% chance it's $5 million.
