I have no idea how much they spent, but no one else does, either.
The $30 million figure came from that notable college football expert known anonymously as "sliced bread" on the internet. Whoever the guy is, he has to be laughing his butt off, because everyone bought what he was selling.
Again, no one really knows what they spent, but it probably isn't a good idea to put much stock into what "sliced bread" was selling.
