It's a testament to where we are that you're saying that as a good thing!

I purchased some .300 Savage ammo in a Bowie Outfitters auction recently that had a $49.99 price tag on each box. And reloading costs aren't better - powder is $60/lb., cup and core bullets are $35/100 and if you can find primers you're going to pay $150/1,000 - and God help you if you have to buy new brass. I can't put together a .270 round for much cheaper $1 a round, and that's using a Hornady interlocks and recycled brass. I could buy equivalent Winchester factory ammo cheaper at any Walmart before Covid.

Yep. PPU .30-06 soft points were 11.99 a box not long ago.

Primers are way down from the crazy.

A few months ago I bought a case of CCI small pistol for $80/1000
