I think one of the things that Jayden Daniels specifically mentioned his goals was to make sure Nuss was in a better position than he was when he started at QB.
His love and pride in Nuss performance was obviously at the way Jayden celebrated with him at the end of the game.

I know we love JD, but if anyone thinks JD had a goal outside of Nuss being the BACKUP QB the last 2 years is fooling themselves.
