So glad we kept Davenport.

Nah. You're so glad you can CoS play a winning hand.

They also said he's the highest rated for qb pressure in the NFL since 2018

That admittedly sticks out as one of the bigger whoops of this era. Turn heaven and earth over to to get a guy opposite Jordan that can rush, let that guy walk out the door.

Davenport had those hidden pressures we forget about

When are gonna let this Hendrickson shite go. We didn’t resign em. Big mistake but shite it’s been 4 years now. Move on.

Partly why I think Allen is overrated even as a defensive coordinator. That was a huge, huge disappointing miscalculation by everyone involved. Either Allen's and Payton's hands were tied by the front office due to the investment in Davenport OR they incorrectly assessed the situation. Either way it was a terrible decision and one of the many reasons why they need to gut the house and rebuild.
EDIT: And I'll also say, I never was against the draft capital investment in Davenport. You have to assume that if the scouts see a person that can affect such a critical part of the game (such as pass-rush) you go get that guy if you can. They just whiffed. My whole issue with the situation is, it was evident by year 2 or 3 that Davenport was not the guy and they had someone in the building that was that guy. You were going to have to pay one of them, pay the right one at least.
Loomis strikes me as one of these fake it til you make it, he's never wrong type of people. And his face is punchable.

Biggest mistake this franchise ever made was drafting Davenport
2nd biggest was keeping Davenport and letting Henrickson walk

When we stop trading up for pass rushers who suck.

Agree. If they picked the right player, we win a SB. But pushing draft capital to get guys that throw the ball or hit the passer is always ok for me.
For WRs . . .

Davenport isn’t here anymore. He played out his rookie contract the same way Hendrickson did. Hendrickson balled out his contract year and we couldn’t afford to keep him no matter what happened with Hendrickson.
The bigger mistake was keeping Peat and not signing Vonn Bell. If you didn’t sign Peat or Taysom, you might have been able to keep Hendrickson. But we had to sign Thomas that year who was coming off a big year and Lattimore. There just wasn’t enough to keep everyone.

I made a thread at the time saying there’s no way you just let him leave. He was close to leading the nfl in sacks that year with us. You have to at least slap the franchise tag on him and get trade value or see if he becomes that guy.
A major blunder by the front office. And Loomis is hemorrhaging first and second round picks on guys to cover it up and it’s effecting the rest of the team.

Thanks to loomis hes the gm even though you think sean payton did every job when he was here and is the sole reason for all our flaws. Your arse will be blaming sean payton in 2024.
