go read the Bread of Life discourse in John 6 and tell me hes not being literal and why would he change it to be just symbolical in the Last Supper?

You mean the one where Jesus' followers leave him in droves, because they think he's being literal about his body and blood needing to be consumed....and instead of correcting them and saying he's being symbolic....he triples down on what he said before and lets them walk away from salvation? That John 6?
