NIL is not paid out by universities. This is a private party type thing. The university does not have any control over this.

At the end of the day, Contracts do not protect the best interest of the player. Why would they sign contracts lol. They would laugh in the face of Joe Blow lawyer.

They try to pretend they don't, but they do. This will bite them in the arse in a future Title IX lawsuit.

It's ridiculous to pretend the coaches don't direct payments or have any input.

You don’t actual believe this do you?

Sure on paper and “legally” it’s true. But you are a fool if you think the school (ie coaches) doesnt have input as to what players the need to get paid.

Technically, you're correct, but make no mistake about it, all universities and these private companies work hand-in-hand and one doesn't act without the other knowing about it. That's the only way it works.

Technically, NIL is not supposed to be pay for play either, but in reality, NIL is 100 percent pay for play!
