I dont think you know what a 4.3 looks like and who actually runs those.

4.43 is the OU I think. I think 50/50 on that.

Can you actually bet this ?
JD isn’t the shiftiest guy in the world but straight line speed is ridiculous. I’d wager under. I think he’s in the 4.3s.

He doesn't really get going until after 20 yards.

He may be a 4.5 40, but then he's probably a 8.5 80.

BJT hit something crazy like 23 mph on the long JD TD run against Florida. I'll bet he runs a better 40 than Nabors.

I'm not sure that it will translate all that well to the 40. Many guys are only hitting their real stride for the last 3 or 4 steps of the 40. Tall guys, in particular, tend to get out of the blocks a bit slower.

You're exactly right. It's not an indictment on him. It's just not the best metric to judge his speed by. If you had them run a 60 or 100, I'd be more confident in BTJ being the fastest. That said, I wouldn't bet against Jayden in the 40. That Kid has absolutely elite acceleration and it looks almost effortless.

Don't know about 4.31 but once Thomas gets going he's one of the 3 fastest playes on the roster.

He’s built and moves like Robbie Anderson.
His straight line speed is what makes him special.
What is your opinion?

If BTjr could run a 4.31 at 6'4 he would be a top 5 pick.

If Daniels trains for it. Sub 4.4 easy. That's if he runs. You can see him running away from CBs and blowing past guys that think they have the angle plenty of times last year.

Where do you people come from? A qb running a sub 4.4 has happened once and it was Vick.

Jayden will run a sub 4.5. But honestly he is way faster than that on the football field.

This. I’d set the O/U at 4.50. I think he’s in that 4.49-4.52 range, which is still very fast for an NFL level QB.

4.44 to 4.48

Somewhere between there.

ETA because I saw others do it

Nabers - 4.42 to 4.45

BTJ - 4.38 to 4.42

I can confidently say he’s a sub 4.5 guy but sub 4.4 would be absolutely fricking ridiculous and highly unlikely.
