Anyone who keeps up with this knows that OPEC and the Russians are behind this down tick in oil prices (therefore, gas prices). They recognized that the long term increase in oil prices was allowing shale oil production to come back online in a big way, and they have recently vowed to shut down US shale oil production for good. They let the oil prices run up just long enough to entice shale oil producers to re-open the US production, and now they're jerking the rug back out from under them again. It's nothing but games to once and for all kill US shale oil production. It's extremely expensive to bring shale production back online, after they've been shut down

Possibly. But I would also think before that a person like yourself should also know that companies and corporations own the oil that is being exported, not the government. So when the United States is exporting record amounts of oil, it’s free market companies who are sending that oil to other companies and refineries overseas.
Yes, Biden stupidly sold off half of the SPR, but even if he didn’t sell a drop, we’d still have record oil exports.
