Spend it on habitat, NESTING HABITAT, improvements. You can trap all the predators you want, as long as quail habitat is limited, you aren't going to accomplish anything. Our habitat sucks. The only place quail live around me is in sugarcane fields, old pastures, and unmanaged hardwoods, none of which is good quail habitat.

One of best areas in La for wild quail in La is crawling with Coyotes, coons and a fair amount of hogs

Prescribed burning and repairing our pine savannas will go a long way to fix this.
