I had zero choice. Local dealership were getting no allotments, I had a deposit down for months. So I effectively had to search the country for vehicles that were ‘ordered’ by someone else…but since it took so long they no longer wanted the car. I could see where the cars were allotted all over the country so I’d just call each dealer and see if that car…which was in the build or transit phase, was in fact purchased. Took a bit of doing, but it finally worked.

If he can afford it with no problem why should he care that you make $55K a year and can’t.
