This, then Muppets, then Mickey's.
It's my favorite Christmas movie.
“You may be an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato. There's more of gravy than of grave about you, whatever you are!”

This is #1a for me most likely.
But #1 for me I think is actually the Disney version (Mickey's Christmas Carol) with Scrooge McDuck. I don't know why, but I absolutely love that version, and it hits strong childhood nostalgia vibes for me.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen many versions of ACC.

The three-part series FX made a few years back. Dark and broody as frick.

The double feature of Pluto’s Christmas Tree, and then Mickey’s Christmas Carol GOAT.
When I was kid, it was always an hour long special featuring:
Pluto's Christmas Tree
The Art of Skiing
Donald's Snow fight
Mickey's Christmas Carol
I still love these.

The Patrick Stewart version is my #1. Great casting all around.
Also enjoy the Reginald Owen version of course.

Scrooge with Albert Finney. Hands down the best songs and great acting by Finney (who was only 33 when filmed).

the Muppets version is just straight up a 9/10 movie. Not Christmas carol movie. Not Christmas movie. Not Muppets movie. Just movie.
its everything a movie should be.

This is probably my favorite. It had some great songs and some phenomenal British actors in it.
My least favorite is the 2019 BBC version with Guy Pearce as Scrooge. Having the reason Scrooge hates Christmas being that he was sexually abused as a child and making Mary Cratchit a witch who brings about Scrooge's redemption were unnecessary plot revisions.

I haven’t heard of this one. Sounds horrible.

I guess it was an attempt at a "woke" version of the classic. They race swapped some of the characters and added plot elements that ruined the story, at least for me. There was no joy at the end.

I recently stiles across the one with Guy Pearce on Hulu and enjoyed it.

1951 version is my favorite because Alastair Sims knocks it out the park when he awakes on Christmas morning. Especially when he interacts with the house maid.

The Jim Carrey version is pretty faithful to the book. I like that one.
Actually my favorite. Jim Carrey did an amazing job and the animation was great.

Yeah, they just went way too dark with that one, it totally miffed on what the message of the story was intended.
Instead of a story of redemption they seemed more bent on a message of vindictiveness
