What was going on at the Cortana Amazon warehouse today?

I passed by earlier on my way home and there were cars lined up from the Florida Blvd side of the building snaking all the way around back between the Cortana Walmart and Lowe’s. Looked to have a few tents setup at the beginning of the line where everyone was trying to get to

Not sure what surprises me more, the lack of Amazon warehouses/fulfillment centers in Louisiana, or the excitement from locals that these facilities opening in their area are a big coup.
