He has accomplished all he can achieve for himself and LSU. One bad play and he could ruin his chance of having a promising NFL career.
He is fearless and exposes his body to potential injury on every play.
Boutte's injury dropped him from a first round to 6th round, costing him millions.
Why take the risk for nothing.

Boutte was lazy.Guy really just wanted to coast to the nfl.

Meh, plenty of players get injured in practice and I assume Jayden will play in the Senior Bowl.

Can't live life in fear.

By this reasoning, all future NFL draft picks should quit the team randomly throughout the season once their draft status is high enough. High school players should quit their high school team once they commit to a college, and pro players should only play enough to get that next contract.

bullshite. Boutte's attitude and laziness cost him that. He had plenty of time to prove he was still that same guy after the injury. Just flashes of it would have gotten him drafted higher. Blaming it on a injury is a crock of shite.

There's insurance for career limiting injuries. Get him a $100 million policy if the worst happens.
