I've been in this situation before. I recommend a nice framed picture of your family they can hang on the wall.

Well since he likes it when you do briskets, butts, etc., for some of his parties, you know he likes bbq. So nicely package up some of your own rubs and sauces for when he’s not having you doing the cooking.

This. Even though he probably has a better stocked liquor cabinet than anything you'll bring, it's a nice gesture and he will appreciate the show of respect.

This Balvenie 14 Carribean Cask should do nicely.

Maybe wait and have a bottle of good champagne delivered along with a personalized thank you card AFTER the party. Thank them both and wish them a happy new year.
