He (Homicide) and Dennis Franz (NYPD Blue) are my top two cops ever seen on TV. For you young guys who haven’t watched Homicide it was a very well done show and Braugher’s character made the show.

First movie I remember watching that he was in was Striking Distance, he played a prosecutor very convincingly.
Baw went to Stanford… sharp cat.

He was the most riveting and compelling character on Homicide. He made me want to become a more skilled interrogator.
Did not think he would be a good fit for a comedic role in Brooklyn 99. He pulled it off again.
Definitely gone too soon. His too soon passing will lead me to appreciate his craft even more. Hopefully we’ll get to see Homicide on a streaming platform soon.

It's a damn shame Homicide: Life on the Street (1992-1998) on www.justwatch.com is not available to stream.

Andre Braugher as Detective Frank Pembleton with Kyle Secor as Detective Bayless made such a fascinating team. Homicide paved the way for The Wire. RIP.
