Yes you can drown easily! It’s not even really a question, the over bearing weight of the water filling the void in your waders and then having to manuver to safety. Geesh

yes you can drown but not because of the waders.
panic, weight of other gear(shells, gun etc) or the foolhardy practice of trying to remove waders while in water is what gets people killed.
