Since NIL’s are private endorsement agreements between a player and a sponsor the NCAA has zero control of such agreements.
Basically some rich booster says if you play for the school of my choosing for a specified time I’ll pay you $X to appear in a commercial for product Y.
This is no different than say Capital One paying John Travolta to put on a Santa outfit and dance in one of their commercials.
Do we really want the government stepping in and regulating these types of transactions?
