Generally the only solution to that (I know, because I've dealt with it) is to embrace the mess and relocate it: Put the power strip inside of the console and pull all excess cabling inside. Yes, it will make (at least a portion of) the interior of the console a mess, but that's pretty much your only option, outside of some serious cable management hardware being added."
This, putting power strip in console to have only one wire to the power outlet will help.
If your console has a back, long Velcro strips along the back of the cabinet to hold excess wire.
