In your scenario, these 2 would not be conference champions. As long as there are only 4 teams, you should reward 1st record, conference title, head-to-head and then strength of schedule when you are comparing P5 teams.

Why do you limit this rule to P5 teams? Why are we leaving 11-1 James Madison out of this conversation?
