Was he assistant head coach or recruiting coordinator before Jimbo was fired? Is he gonna be pissed off if passed over for HC (a la Orgeron at USC)?

apparently no coordinating experience, but most of the players are vouching for him (Bjork cracked with the player situation with Matt Luke too)
its a… situation

I sure hope so. Players coaches who elevate from position without coordinating experience very rarely work.

I think they should do it. It would be a great hire!

I agree. This is an absolute no brainer for Texas A&M. What could possibly go wrong?

Yeah, like letting the players make the decision on hiring the interim coach usually always works...

Nothing like paying $76 million to fire a coach only to hire his DL coach.

Hmm.

Of course LSU only paid 1.5 million to get rid of Miles.

Always works out for the best, I mean worse. LSU hired an assistant that all of the players loved, Mike Archer and LSU went on to have the worst 10 year stretch in the history of the program. We call it the 90’s.

More recent than that. That fricking Joe Alleva hired that POS Orgeron in big part because the players clamored for him.

Let’s get a viral meme going that A&M is racist if they don’t hire Elijah Robinson.

Just my opinion but the best thing short term for LSU is that they don’t hire him. Aggie players get mad and leave the program for LSU.

Everything else was a smokescreen. This was the guy A&M wanted all along.

Yep passed on some guy named Steve Spurrier to hire the players coach.

On one hand I want them to do it, on the other I want them to pass him over.

I feel like it’s a win win no matter what.

If he is he should be paid min but they’d give him a stupid contract and it will hurt Aggy further. I’d be happy with this

He’s a lost resort that they’re already justifying because they know that’s probably who they’ll land

Hell, why stop there? Maybe he's pissed off enough to quit and LSU can hire him.
