New house is closing soon. I need to get 6 fans to install. My plan is to close, then spend a few days working on the house before we actually move in. Having shelves put in the pantry and two of the closets by a local company. I am going to install the tv mounts, tvs and ceiling fans as well as paint 3 feature walls

I have not bought ceiling fans in 30 years. I looked at Lowes here locally and there is a fan store ( Just Fans) that is close by. The fans there look a little better quality but do cost more.

Is there really that big of a quality upgrade in these fans from these fan stores? I dont recognize any of the manufactures but like I said, I have not done any fans in a long time and I always just got them at Home Depot.

I am planning on 3 basic white 52"fans for our spare bedrooms and a music room. A 60" three blade for our great room, a 52" for the master bedroom and a 60-70" for my lanai....

There is a big sale on Kichler fans at the fan store but Ive never heard of them... They are not double what the Hunter and Fanimation fans are at Lowes but they are close. I dont mind spending the xtra money is they are worth it in the long run

I also plan on mounting remotes in the wall plates for each one. No pull strings or loose remotes floating around

Berdroom

Great room. (Similar)

Lanai (Similar)

I did all Hunter for my bedrooms and Minka Aire h20 for my back patio. We splurged and put an expensive Monte Carlo in the living room. It has the propeller look to it. Happy with all of them.

I had bad luck with fans from Lowes/Home Depot. They seem to get cheaper looking and performing all the time.

Bought a couple from a local place, House of Carpets and Lighting, and they have been solid. I'm sticking with them for future purchases.

If you are looking for a great fan at a great price. I have an account with Notoco in BTR. They sell and have in stock Quorum fans. They are the quietest fans. They have a Rheostat for each speed of the fan, making it quieter. Nothing worse than trying to speed or watch a movie and you hear a fan motor sound.
At Notoco in BTR, ask for Amy or Debbie Noto.

So many of them at Lowes use a remote control to operate them and the remote or the receiving unit are crap. 3 out of 4 we have, have had issues.
You can remove the receiving unit and wire directly and it will work but no reverse. I bought a wall switch to control the speed on the fan, but reverse won’t work unless there is a switch on the fan.

Also, the lights on all those you put up there suck.

They aren't anything special compared to other designer fans. Personally I look for vintage Hunter/Robin & Myers ceiling fans. They weigh a ton with a cast iron housing and you can't hang one with a normal ceiling fan box but they are smooth, silent, and will outlast you and your grandchildren.

Serious question. Why would anyone want a 3 blade fan?

Spend the extra money.
I bought "affordable" replacement fans from Lowes 6 or 7 years ago, and they are garbage. I've already replaced two of them.
They are the Hunter brand but I'm guessing these are bottom of the line because they have cheap aluminum wiring inside, instead of copper, and they didn't last.

I bought higher grade Hunter fans to replace the two that broke, and these are much nicer.

I did this as well and it's the smartest thing you could do.

All of my ceiling fans came from either Lowes or HD so you should be fine with either.

They missed a golden opportunity to call themselves Only Fans.
