I don't understand why there is so much support for Harbaugh/Michigan regarding cheating.

Michigan probably cost someone a playoff spot last year as their cheating probably allowed them to win at least 1 game that they otherwise would have lost.

So you have fans of teams that may have been screwed out of a playoff spot by Michigan's cheating that are now rallying around Harbaugh/Michigan regarding said cheating.

Makes no sense to me.

Who knows how many other sign stealers could have made the CFP

I don't "support" them, but I know that they're not doing anything that most others aren't doing. Difference is they're winning.

You do know that there are teams that are also cheating and winning 5-6 games a year, right? Cheating doesn't ensure that your team is going to be any good.

All teams need is a big poster divided into four quadrants with a different picture in each quadrant. These cannot be deciphered.

It’s like being genuinely angry when an another team got NCAA infractions for impermissible benefits. You can laugh at them, but you know every damn team out there is doing it.

I think “stealing” signs is a weak form of cheating any way. You still have to stop them.

Even 4 years later Astros fans have to hear the cheaters bull shite, but nothing said about Michigan's cheating. Completely shocked.

It’s just comical that they got busted for this whole operation. With a sea of “analysts “ and grad assistants you’d have all of the signals you need by the second half. Plus coaches can always call buddies on other staffs and get them from a simple phone call and save the trouble of sending someone there to video tape them

The whole thing is stupid. Just another dumb rule from a dumb ruling body called the NCAA.

Most people's opinion on this likely depends on how they feel about Michigan, honestly

Yes it was technically illegal.. but any coach who just rolls with the same signs week after week is an idiot and was destined to lose anyway, you have to expect signs to be stolen on a regular basis.

I don’t get it either. This doesn’t fall into a “most or all power 5 do this” type of category imo. It’s far and away much much more over the line of what should be acceptable or tolerated. If it came out UGAs current run and very real chance to break some extremely impressive records was marred by this I would consider it tainted at least if not outright unacceptable

I think there’s a difference between supporting them and not displaying fake outrage over something most people just don’t care about.

Look at the tolerance for corruption in this state, and that should tell you something.

The only possible team is Penn St who finished 11-2, Ohio St made the playoff anyway. Michigan boat raced PSU 41-17, given PSU recent history vs ranked teams I tend to doubt any “cheating” is why they lost that game. Does 11-1 PSU go over 10-2 Bama? Possible since the committee has always gone with teams that have fewer losses.
