I do remember a lot of sellouts during Saban’s and Miles eras with a large crowd of fans tailgating that were not able to get tickets. I’m thinking the expansion was to accommodate those fans?

Meh.

Holiday weekend where a lot of people are either going out of town or to their hunting camps

No major postseason stakes on the line

Worst of all….an 11am kickoff time. You’d still have a pretty full stadium if it was a 6-7pm game. Its not a new phenomenon that LSU fans hate early kickoffs

Florida game was still packed and the stadium was rocking, even coming off the Bama loss.

Well it’s not getting any smaller.

You actually going to show up or just bitch about attendance from your couch?

Alleva had no reason to expand the stadium

Good fans don’t translate to over paying for tickets. Things are tight around the country for some folks.family is in for holidays. traveling for holidays. Things to consider before you destroy fans.

LSU should be able to refuse to play 11am home games

This same game is a sellout if kickoff is at 7

That’ll put it down to about 65k. We’re not Ole Miss.

I agree 90k is a good number. The nickname “Death Valley” still needs to be attached to a larger venue than most.

I think they should do a Skyline club type of East Upper deck above the terrace somehow. Huge platform that people can watch from with limited chairback seating so it'll look lively and full on TV broadcasts. Putting the last allotted tickets in the East uppers never looks good because it hardly ever sells out and it's always in view of the camera panning up.

Meh. I think every game being televised and a 75” hdtv costing $500 hurts more than cost to go

The is the correct answer.

Need to downsize to about 90k and make it nicer to go to a game.

They should've never expanded the regular seating capacity after it got up to 93K. The latest endzone addition should've been strictly luxury boxes and a beer garden/standing room only section.

Stadium needs to be reconfigured, but a lot of this simply has to do with ability to watch anywhere and fact that team isn’t playing for more.

Agreed. The addition of boxes could have served the corporate crowd and made for a nice inside area for concessions and standing room.

Meh, even in 2019 the stadium emptied out for most games.
