Fried Chitlins - MMMmmmmmmmmm! This is why we never go to Jerry's on a Thursday.

I was told they change the oil they fry catfish in on Friday's and that is why they only cook Chitlins on Thursday, with the soon to be changed out oil.

Old Dad Joke - My Dad always said, If you are cooking chitlins and company shows up right at mealtime, you drop a piece of corn right beside the chitlins on the platter, then bring the platter to the table. It will make what you cooked go a lot farther.
