That is up in the air. Will be interesting to see if he has a roster spot come start of the season. I don't think he would be available until the very end of SEC play. I'm of the opinion not to have him take a roster spot with the depth of pitching and let him get completely healed and ready to go for 2025 season.

He’s at that Paul Allen point where I can’t tell if he’s trolling or legitimately retarded

My gut still tells me Holman will be the Friday guy. He has the experience edge. He's been there and done the Friday prep before.

Fri: Thatcher Hurd
Sat: Luke Holman
Sun: Gage Jump

SP4: Kade Anderson (innings for next year)
SP5: Jake Brown/Micah Bucknam (similiar reasoning for Brown)

Bullpen:

1. Justin Loer
2. Kade Woods
3. Aiden Moffett
4. Griffin herring (long)
5. Javen Coleman (long)
6. Primeaux

Closer: Guidry/Johnson as 8th and 9th inning guys?

idk man that was hard lol in a damn good way

If Shores does come back, it sounds like it would be pretty late in the year, similar to Javen Coleman last year. I'd be fine with letting him heal, and bringing him back at full strength for 2025.

As in Javen Coleman? No shot

Javen Coleman easily has the potential to start and be a weekend mainstay for LSU. Now, we have at least six guys like that, and only three will end up in those roles, but one could easily be Javen Coleman.

Well he seems to like to post, so its unavoidable. The good part is by the nature of what baseball is, we will lose some games, so he'll surely quit on the team when that happens.

Hurd
Holman
Jump

Cam Johnson is your 4th starter or midweek until you get into SEC play then Anderson or somebody moves to midweek and Johnson out the pen

I'll take the experience of a guy in a national championship game over the experience of guy because he prepared to start on Friday before.

Not to mention we have probably 3-4 guys with better stuff than Holman, and Hurd is one of them.

People do with Coleman exactly what they did with Money last year. They remember just a very few good outings, and ignore the majority, which hasn't been great.

If this pitching staff is as good as we think, Coleman will factor in very little.

It is very hard to say what it will look like come opening weekend, but I pretty much agree with Project's post.

This fall Hurd, Holman, Jump were lined up for weekend rotation starters imo.

Cam Johnson and Kade Anderson were also auditioned as starters...likely midweek to start the season.

Guys like Herring and Ackenhousen are kind of wild cards to me. Either could start games.

Coleman hasn’t pitched this fall but he has much more potential than Blake money.

Was kind of rushed back last year from injury and never looked right, but he is mid 90’s from the left side, those guys can’t be discounted.

We have a few of those though. And i think they will be relied upon more than Coleman.

I'm not comparing their potential. Just comparing the similarities in that both have had a handful of good outings, surrounded by mostly bad ones. People only cling to the good ones though.

In that group he’s the most athletic & I think has the most upside to be honest. Not sure why he hadn’t pitched yet tho.

That said some of these pitchers will seek playing time elsewhere. And that’s not always because they aren’t good. Some just need a fresh start. I could just as easily see him doing that

More upside than one of the highest rated recruits to ever reach campus? If that's not a Lester earl hot take, idk what is.
