Too early. Skeenes did start ramping up until the spring. They were still looking at him to hit in the fall.

Johnson is a stud but I bet they bring him along slowly. Hurd is Friday. Coleman sat then Holman Sunday is my random guess for the weekend to start barring injuries. Maybe Gage is that Saturday guy. I could see going right/left/right. Give Nate a weekday spot depending on his weekend work. Cam too. Can’t wait for Noot to return as well.

The best pitching staff ever assembled in collegiate athletics.
They are that good. Times 100.
We have a good shot at back to back baws.

It feels like we'll be deeper overall compared to last year, even without a true ace like Skenes.

Starters
Hurd
Holman
Herring
If I thought Coleman was gonna pick up where he left off at the end of '21 I'd go with him. So much rust last year.

Our pitching is certainly going to carry us this season. We won’t score runs like we did last year. But we will be good enough on offense to score a fair amount of runs, and if we can play any defense at all we might not give up many runs at all over the course of a 3 game weekend.

Jay will need to be fired immediately, because he'll have no idea what he's doing, how could he have left that pitcher in?

Fri: Hurd
Sat: Holman
Sun: Jump
SP4: I feel like this is a good spot to alternate Cam Johnson, Kade Anderson, and Jake Brown.
SP5: Micah Bucknam (we have more LHP starting options, we need to keep another RHP ready)
Bullpen:
Long: Herring
Long: Ackenhausen
Long: Coleman
Short: Moffett
Short: Primeaux
Short: Loer
Short: Woods
Closer: Guidry
frick I don't know. We have more arms than innings available. Jump may not be ready for a starters workload at the beginning of the season, so Herring or Ack could get the nod there. Any guy that could be a mid-week starter could also be a weekend long reliever. Loer could share closing duties. Moffett could extend. Little could get innings.
This is fun.

Hurd, Holman I would say I'm pretty confident they have a spot on the weekend rotation from the beginning.
For the third spot. How slow do we bring Jump along? He's a candidate for sure if he's a full go. Is cam Johnson ready to go from day 1, or will he get his feet wet first?
Then from there, how much do guys like Loer, Ack, Herring push the other starters for one of those spots? All are maybe Sunday potential guys the first few weeks of the season if the previous two have to be brought along slowly.

We'll have a lot of good options, that bodes well.

I don't have the schedule up in front of me right now, but don't we have a weirdly front loaded schedule in terms of number of games? That should mean we get to see nearly every starter candidate early in the year.

I feel like he gives Ack a shot first as weekend starter. This will be his new Riley Cooper, right ?
It’s a different staff than last year but I think he could treat Cam Johnson like Shores last year? Start slow & ramp him up
I’m not sure Jump starts in rotation but he is very clearly a thing

I would love to see Johnson as the closer and let him rip

I am completely clueless but
Friday Hurd
Saturday Holeman
Sunday Herring
1. Jump
2. Ack
3. Loer
4. Little
5. Johnson
Closer Guidry
Midweek - Brown, Anderson, Moffett, Woods.
I do feel like the Sunday Guy will be a LHP.
