Were Trump to go to jail and the GOP declare he cannot run, do you vote for the Nominee?

Let's say it's Nikki Halley.

In a three way race, do you vote Halley?

Would it matter who the nominee was?

I’d hate to pull the lever for Haley, but I will vote for whoever the R nominee is.

Trump, Vivek, Rod and RFK are the only 4 candidates I’d vote for - probably in that order.

If it is just the GOP that removed him as their nominee he would run third party.

Now that would be a shitshow.

How's this work? How does the "GOP declare" something?

If that happens, I don't think I could muster the energy to care about who runs, who wins, etc. I would be completely numb to politics and would probably never vote in another election period.

That would be the biggest threat to politics in this country that I could even imagine. There is virtually nothing that could demoralize me about voting more than something like that.

I'll vote for Trump, Cruz, and probably DeSantis. Mitt Romney was the last POS republican I will hold my nose and vote for. If the republicans can't manage to nominate a decent candidate, I'll vote for the conservative or constitution party candidate. I'll write in Mickey Mouse before I vote for Haley.

I have a 15 year old son. There is no situation that has me pulling a lever for a war starved MIC neocon plant.

Yes, just like I will vote for Trump if who I vote for in the primary (won’t be Trump if at all possible) doesn’t win.

If "they" succeed in keeping Trump out of the election I will NEVER vote again.
How much more evidence would be needed to convince anyone that our votes don't matter...

Trump is not going to jail.

Even while the Democrat base is screaming for it to happen, just like the Republican base screamed for Hillary Clinton to be jailed, Democrat politicians in Congress who have hung out previously with Trump and his people and have had good times (all those people hang out in similar social circles) have no real desire to see him sent to prison.

They just want the current circus to be enough to cause the GOP to lose the Executive and Legislative branches next year. Then they’ll call off the dogs.
