It definitely makes one think. So far Brian has stated, “We’re not who we thought we were” and “Should have spied”. WTF are you doing Brian. My conclusion is Brian is exactly who we knew he was. Somehow he got 10m/yr guaranteed.

This was definitely their goal but as you stated it became abundantly clear that the defensive line either could not or would not maintain their pass rush lanes and it led to multiple long runs from Milroe. Which all comes back to the failure of our defensive coaching staff to teach.

On the one hand, I get why House is frustrated. He called a defense that had our guy in position and he just whiffed on the tackle.
On the other hand, it still doesn't get him and the defensive staff off the hook because it's your job to make sure your players are developed fundamentally to make those tackles.

Perkins was playing spy on Bama’s first series,which resulted in a punt. For some unknown reason they went away from it and never tried it again.

When a Coach puts together a multimillion dollar staff, then mid season is forced to hire a retired 82 year old coach to come in and teach fundamentals. WTF?

I think most people went into the game expecting they were going to use Perkins to spy the QB. That didn't happen. Coach Burger King had to have it his way and lose the game I guess.

We don’t currently have a real DL coach. We have a stand in who was doing dual duty. Matt House has a SB Ring as a DC. You on the other hand have no experience either coaching or evaluating talent. Just saying.

You do know that 2 DL coaches left to take other jobs and the third one has a brain tumor leaving Kelly with having to hand the duties over to a guy doing double duties right? This is a little disingenuous.

It’s a combination of lack of fundamentals and lack of talent. Entire defensive side of the ball needs an overhaul.

OK .. and that falls back on BK . The same guy who told you “ that’s the beauty of a 10 year contract ! “ Scott W. gave a monster contract to Jimbo , including prime land and cattle . What has Jimbo done with all that money , cattle and land besides go to Jenny Craig ? Hell , last year he looked pretty dang fat !
