The fact is

Our defense is horrific

The DL, linebackers and db’s are all bottom tier sec level play.
We have good players. Many are injured

We either don’t have enough good player healthy or our coaches suck. I think it’s a combo

Yes

But the personnel that their using or NOT using in the front 7 is unbelievable.

How they didn’t put Weeks in the 2nd half to spy…

Perkins has digressed because of the players around him, and the lack of a scheme to adapt to the inept personnel.

I agree 1000%

There is simply no way our player are that lacking in the talent dept.

SMITH and JEFFERSON had 2 tackles, 2. They ran it 26 times that were not QB runs. Not one QBH or sack of course.

They are just non existent. THey are uncertain, they are not coached. Something is going on.

They didn't put him in because it would have made us even worse.

Typical ranter after a loss. "We should have played..." checks participation chart "...Weeks"

Yes might as well have rewatched the Florida state game… it was the exact same out of place, gassed in second half, too much pressure on offense, no adjustments game… and this was 8 games later in the season - that’s the scariest thing for me when I think about the future if things stay “as is”

I guess he is doing Orgeron’s work?

He is biased!

Yes we are struggling with injuries but players are not faking injuries and allowed to do as they please. The scale follows a storm of injuries. We have stable people running the show.

Detillier’s opinion was solicited? By who? I believe he is doing Orgeron’s bidding.

They had a defensive line coach. He has health issues that, as far as he and his family are concerned, are more important than being a coach. As it should be.

The next man up had no idea what he was doing. It seems.

Now, Pete Jenkins is salvaging what he can.

After reflecting on what has happened with this defense so far, the problem isn't the lack of a defensive line coach. It's the lack of a coach at every other position, including defensive coordinator. That guy doesn't know his arse from a hole in the ground.

The '99 defensive front was poo. But they had some talent. This line fwiw lacks talent and for sure isn't being developed. and when will kelly address the lack of a line coach. It cost him this season as a result of his inaction.

Also, do we have a strength and conditioning issue? I don't know if it's the coach or the goals that Kelly has set. idk. but I know there are some on here that do now.

Well, isn’t his boy Pete, the greatest of all time dline coaches, coaching them?

I mean, the whole "Pete Jenkins is the reason why our Dline attempted to tackle after the Ole Miss game" is nauseating and overdone; however, even being one of the best to ever coach that position the guy is ancient and clearly cannot be the full time coach.

This unit not having a fill in full time position coach in this conference is a huge oversight by Kelly, IMO.

Worse? How can things get any worse, Pernod. Take a look around, we’re in the pits of hell.

Personnel groupings in the front 7 have been an issue all year. How you don’t recognize this is on you

The defensive staff either isn't teaching/correcting this or is doing a poor job explaining each players roles and responsibilities.

Well when the staff is learning their role at the same time it’s really not that surprising.

we also lack the players

Penn is slow
Speights is slow and not super strong
Ovie is not existent and that’s just his level m. he hasn’t been a factor anywhere he’s played.
Savion Jones is not great

best you can say about Maason is that he’s still recovering from knee surgery and maybe get better.
