You idiots are delusional. Everyone on this board agrees that the coaching on defense is horrible and blames Matt House. But nobody other than a select few are willing to admit that Brian Kelly hired the man. How is the defense not Brian Kelly's fault when he hired the DC?

I'm no huge fan of Orgeron, but when he fricked up and hired Bo Pelini back and it went bad, he canned him and owned it. Brian Kelly has the utmost confidence in House. Big difference.

This bitch can't even tie his own shoes much less provide you a simple yes or no answer.

He is still employed today. That alone is a crime. I certainly hope he will be gone after the season. Lincoln Riley is roasted on here for his shitty defenses and even he had enough sense to can his DC who is every bit as bad as House this season.

To answer your question, I do think BK will fire House at some point. The sooner, the better.

After this season, yes or no. Not “at some point”

Saban hired Pete Golding & Bill O'Brian. Point of that is even a GREAT coach like Saban can make a bad hire at the coordinator positions. Many Bama fans felt like Saban held on to both WAY longer than he should have.

There's a lot involved in canning a coach during the season. A program is not going to hire someone immediately to fill an opening so that means someone from within has to handle that role for the remainder of the season. Who on the current staff has enough background to fill in for the remainder of the season? It's not always as simple as you tards seem to think it is. That's why the majority of times coaches are let go when the season is over.

That's just coach's talk. If you were reading between the lines, Kelly's interviews during the game told you everything you needed to know with his frustrations with the defense.

It's not the grunting, chest beating language of the typical rantard so ole baw is confused.

It's a great case study in how easily fanbases are manipulated by someone who delivers the same information as the previous coach in a more professional manner.

The one thing that no fanbase of a rebuilding franchise can tolerate is the sense that it's stopped making progress. I think all of us can agree that last year Kelly exceeded expectations. Nobody seriously expected a title this year, but nobody expected backsliding either. Next year, with Nussbaum leading the offense and Mount or whoever is rushed in to deal with another poor defensive recruitment class, I can't see any possible improvement from this year--in fact, we'll be lucky to avoid finishing 6-7 like O in his final year. My prediction? At the end of next season, Woodward will be forced to put together the biggest donor buyout in college football history to get rid of Kelly.

Except Ed Orgeron accomplished nothing. He had zero to do with the 2019 team other than cheering for them on the sideline. FACT!

Lack of Defensive production due to youth in the secondary. You have 2 weeks to prepare and you put that defensive shiteshow on the field. Start with tackling drills. And, WTF is the problem with this experimentation with Perkins, arguably your best player on defense. Made zero adjustments on containing Milroe.

Doesn’t matter how long you have to prepare, when the players you have on defense aren’t good…Perkins is the only player we have that could match up athletically with Milroe.
