I’m still doing a day or two a week with y’all, in between M/W/F BF2.

I’m down for 70’s in January

Between that and him smashing a pumpkin pie every day, I was enjoying his posts.

Day 13 done.

I’m not sure if the days are getting easier or I’m getting into better shape, but the super sets aren’t as tough as they used to be.

Day 14 done

Over all, today was pretty short but fairly intense since it was low rep/high weight on everything.

Switching over to sumo deadlifts today felt odd. They weren't necessarily easier with the shorter RoM or harder due to the wider stance. It reminded me a little of how wide stance goblet squats feel.

I went up on my bench TM and I actually felt it today. The last couple of bench sessions almost felt like I was going thru the motions. Today was not the case. I actually had to put in the work, which I liked.

When I did Christmas Big Bench last month, the sheer amount of bent rows and curls took a toll on my elbows. SS1 today had 5 rep sets of heavy bent rows. Those felt great and I actually bumped up the weight after feeling it out in set 1. I was happy to see improved form and no pain in my elbow. I also pushed the weight up on the DB presses as they felt great also. It was odd, but I enjoyed the flutter kicks. The only thing that kind of sucked was the DB shrugs. Those callouses on my middle and ring fingers are really starting to hurt on the later reps. Used gloves for set 3. I'll probably use them for the next few sessions to give my palms a little bit of a break. I guess this is the negative of deadlifting 5 days a week.

I've been in here all along, reading all the different topics and staying up to date with the TDH&F board. I did not finish the SQUATober event. My last day was Day #16 Super Set - and I was starting to get weary of....how shall I say it....what I saw as too gimmicky of a program for me, so I started to get second thoughts about continuing because I wanted to be working towards different goals and that was taking me away from them. I think once I saw what was programmed for Day #17 - Echo Chamber - I knew I was done. I remember just being irrationally angry about it all.

Made the decision that I wasn't gonna make myself miserable, so I immediately went back to my own little homebrewed GSLP and I haven't really looked back. I spend most of my time over on the new Greyskull forums now, keeping a training log over there. Didn't feel like announcing my withdrawal because I don't want to sound like I'm taking a dump on something that many other people are actively enjoying. I'm glad that so many people enjoy PPSA programs and special events like Squatober and Deadcember, but I don't believe they're right for me. It was worth a shot, and I always managed to find little golden nuggets to take away from an experience, even if I don't like the whole, so it was definitely worth it, maybe I'd try it again if I knew going in I was going to heavily modify out the stuff I have no interest in doing.

Day 15 done.

Today was a doozy.

Here are my dice rolls. Got lucky and got the 1 at the end.

2 @85%= 325
5 @70%= 265
6 @65%= 250
6 @65%= 250
4 @75%= 285
1 @90%= 345

I did Day 15 last night.

Didn’t have dice so I just did 1 of each 6 to 1. Heavy squats felt good

I absolutely love squatober and PPSa in general, but I do think I’m about to take a little break from it. I’ll do a home brewed LP program for a few months.

Day 15 down... (yesterday)

Knocked this one yesterday before starting my long roadtrip. I unfortunately had some rough rolls.

For deadlifts I rolled 3,2,1,1,6,5. Those 90% reps were heavy. Got them done without straps or anything else. Happy with how it went.

Squats were ok. These rolls hit hard immediately; 1,3,2,3,3,4. That 90% rep right off the bat was rough. I don't recall for sure if I got fully parallel. I know I got at least parrallel on all the other reps/sets.

As far as the accessories, they were all fine. I completed everything in 2 sets. I don't think I can do the ab rollouts anymore. I don't mind being sore and beat up from exercising. These just don't feel right. It truly feels like I ripped something when I do these. I'll have to move to an alternate accessory.

Heads up, the bench percentages are wrong. They should be the same as deadlifts (75%,80%,82%,85%).
