Booked a flight tomorrow with spirit that has a layover in atl. I change airlines there and just learned spirit doesn’t transfer luggage. Flight lands at 4:56 and next one is 6:34. Think I’ll have enough time to get my luggage then go through the process again? Used my twic card to book so I’ll be to use pre tsa or whatever.

Yup.

Or not.

Either way, you won’t be in Baton Rouge.

IMO, you had a chance until you got to

layover in atl.

I just don't know if I could feel comfortable it will work.

Honestly, it depends if your flight gets in on time. Delta has a 20 minute baggage guarantee but I don't think the other airlines do. Then you'll have to rush to check-in and hope you make the baggage cutoff.

Any airline won't transfer luggage unless they have an interline agreement.

Your only hope is that outbound traffic in the middle of the week will be somewhat low, in compared to Sunday, Monday, and Thursday.

As someone that has checked bags and gone through deplorable ATL (Precheck, Clear, etc.) security many, many, times, you're probably not going to make it. Don't forget that landing at 1656 does not mean you are at the gate at 1700. The next flight, if it is domestic and on time, will start boarding before six.

I would call the airline you're transferring to and advise you likely may need a standby seat. When you don't do very, very dumb things like buy airline tickets on Priceline (or another OTA like Expedia), and you're on the same airline, they already have built in capabilities to detect when you're at a risk of connection.

Think of how much money you saved. Remember that long and hard tomorrow.

For the life of me i will never understand why people schedule flights this way and when shite goes sideways blame the airline.

You need to schedule things expecting something to happen. Airlines do not. Take it from me.

Well nothing went sideways. I just didn’t know they wouldn’t transfer luggage to a diff airline. Lesson learned. I booked it on Google flights and got a round trip to Denver for $90. Now I see why lol

Most airports you could probably make it but not likely at Atlanta. Do you have TSA Precheck?
