Absolutely. The wife’s eating disorder. Screw her if she’s not willing to help herself BUT

There’s absolutely no reason to remain with a women you don’t respect until your kids are 18 if you spend those years fat shaming their mother and teaching them that your love and respect are conditional on appearance. Kids twist that shite and that’s how eating disorders start.

Generally kids pick up behavior from their parents and their peers. Not what we tell them to do. What they actually really do.

Granted there are exceptions but the biggest (not a pun) risk for the kids is terrible food habits by the person feeding the children.

The father in this case has a responsibility to be a better role model with both eating and exercise if he wants to give the kids a better role model (and preserve his own health).
