Heading to Amsterdam for a few days. Any recommendations of places to go, things to see, restaurants to eat at, Clubs to party at?
Looks like weather might not cooperate. Possible light rain the whole time we are there. Still a week out so it very well could change.
The only thing we've planned is a tour for the Anne Frank House. Outside of that just was going to wonder.
Any recommendations are welcome, TIA!

I recently did a canal boat tour - very interesting.

So that's pretty good weather for Amsterdam. But the cold wind is what really hurts.
Reminds me I need to finish my trip review from this summer. I'll come back later and make some recs.

We went last year during our honeymoon and had a great time. Only planned thing we did was a canal tour and a visit to the Rijksmuseum.

Make sure you have the tix to the Anne Frank House beforehand. There’s no on-site sales and tours are by reservation only. Their site explains the process pretty thoroughly. I was in Amsterdam a few months back and the number of people disappointed to not be able to visit the house was very large. Hundreds of people each day show up without a ticket and get turned away.
It’s a very walkable City. If you like scenic architecture then do a self guided walking tour jumping off from the Grand Central area. You can find the tours guides for free on the net.
I booked a one day excursion to Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague on Viator. Was definitely worth it.
The Heineken experience is pretty popular as are canal cruises. Obviously; a trip through the RLD De Wallen is part of the Amsterdam experience.
You’ll find friets/fry shops are all over the place. Find one that looks busy and try them. Delish…. A fresh Stroopwafel is a delight too.
Cheese shops are a big deal there. Be sure to check one out.
I didn’t really plan meals or zero in on any particular restaurants beforehand. I will say that I experienced arguably the best Chinese I’ve eaten since I was in Shanghai in their Chinatown area.

$20 booze cruise is a lot of fun. All you can drink beer or wine. 420 friendly. Had a great time I was the only American in the boat.
Was interesting to see how prude we are compared to Euros.
Nightlife is crazy there and depends how wild you want to be.
Public street urinals are disgusting but beat paying a euro to pee.
