This thread is a classic illustration of the upside down nature of football fans. The game is entertainment. That's all it is. Have you not been reminded that there are so many things that are bigger and more important than the score this season? I understand the point but there is a significant difference between what's going on around the game and what is happening on the field. Take some time to respect and honor these young men. They are the ones who are going to step on much different field after this one. I appreciate what LSU is trying to do by stepping up in class. A little honor and respect is not something we should be tearing down but encouraging. These guys are getting the opportunity to play on a huge stage and they will carry these memories for a lifetime. Winning and being classy don't have to be mutually exclusive. If LSU is well prepared, well coached and they don't play to the level of their competition they will win this one easily. So you can set your fears aside, enjoy the game and be part of something that shows we can be different from the others.
As an LSU fan and a Veteran I appreciate the efforts and look forward to a good game and a solid victory. And I hope Tiger fans will applaud and appreciate our future service members when it's all done. They will be the people who go on to protect our gifts of many future Saturday's enjoying our way of life.
