Broken engine mount and sway bar bushings

I looked for an automotive board and didn't see one, so posting this here.
Our mechanic is replacing the starter to our 2017 GMC Acadia and called and mentioned both the engine mount and the sway bar bushings are broken. The car was just in the shop a week ago getting an oil change, and neither of these things was apparently noticed at that time. The mechanic said they must not have looked. Question - I am not looking to dump money into this vehicle. Is replacing the enging mount and/or sway bar bushings a must, or can we survive a bit longer without addressing these? In other words, will not replacing these cause an accident that kills or maims my wife and kids? TIA

Oof
It won’t immediately cause danger but will rattle like hell and cause other things to break

had the same on my 2017 Silverado. Discovered it when they had to replace my transmission at 120,000 miles. Don't remember exactly that that portion cost but should be pretty easy to just call around and get a somewhat estimate.

Common GMC problem. I have had them changed due to being broken on three Chevy/GMC trucks.

Had the same on the last Yukon. Not a hard fix, worth doing and should fix the problem.

My local mechanic told me that the transmission on my GMC truck was going out and I needed to take it to my dealer to be replaced. The truck was still barely covered by extended warranty. The dealer said it wasn’t the transmission but the engine mounts were broken. They repaired that which was covered under warranty. A month later the transmission went out and the extended warranty was no longer valid because my mileage was just over the coverage. Fix those engine mounts and get rid of the car.

Should be a relatively cheap fix if you do it yourself.
