There is plenty of protein to be found in vegetables, but by the ounce, beef has 9x more protein than broccoli. Tofu, chickpeas, almonds, lentils, and edamame are better sources of plant protein than broccoli. America would be much healthier if we got more of our protein from steamed or roasted vegetables than beef and pork. And if we walked at least ten miles each day. Cars and cities designed for cars rather than people may be the biggest health risk of all, and alcohol.

P.S. The Sam’s in Mobile has Connecuh sausage for $4.50/lb. NY strips at Winn Dixie were $8.99/lb last week, or $3/serving.
