Dude is having an absolute monster year.
He has literally put the team on his back for most of this season.

It’s a bummer this is such a deep QB class nationally because I can’t help but feel he should be getting Burrow level hype during any other year.

Just so proud of JD5.
He’s a good kid and an awesome player!

It's because we have two losses.

If we were undefeated he'd be the Heisman frontrunner right now.

He’s not. Everyone ahead him on the list will have to have a terrible game in a premier game. It’s all about the Bama and UGA games.

Win out and he very well may win more than a Heisman

He’s getting recognition but everyone is still putting UW Qb ahead of him or Caleb

He will get more attention after Caleb Williams performance last week.

Before last week. Sure. But a lot of the national writers have finally caught on. He's on everybody's short list for Heisman favorites or Mid-Season Heisman.

Basically Penix is putting up Burrow like yardage and Daniels is putting up Kyler Murray like numbers.

This narrative is so stupid. Board wants JD to start throwing the ball deep and stop being ultra conservative. JD does that and becomes the best QB in the country. Somehow board was wrong. No logic at all

Well he is getting a little more. Not enough. The Media has already crowned Penix as the Heisman winner.

Danny Kanell was literally creaming his pants on his radio show on Monday. I guess listen to more national radio outside the ESPN box

Read 3 midseason award writeups today and one had him as the Heisman winner and another the offensive POY.

If he struggles against Bama he will not get much talk about how great a talent he is. If he does good at Bama, then he will be in the Heisman talk. Very simple equation.

He’s getting plenty from those who aren’t anti Kelly.

I'm not even sure it's because of the second one. He played great and our defense couldn't stop shite.

The bigger issue is not only was the FSU game his worst performance by far, it was also the game with the most eyes on it by far. The Bama game will be more of a coming out party and his notoriety will skyrocket if he plays like he has been.

I literally hear him talked about constantly by leading sports commentators. He is held in great respect by sports journalists.
