I absolutely love that place and am looking at a long drive through that part of the world in a few weeks. I can save ten minutes by skipping and going around Shreveport.

I heard the owner died recently and I would like to support the place if they are still open. Very good food.

Lim died a year ago. Bone cancer. He was a great guy. Last I checked the restaurant was still open but I won't go back without him being there.

Just an FYI, I-20 in Bossier is 1 lane each direction due to road construction. It’s not too bad if you avoid going through there during rush hour.

I always mention to those interested that lunch there is just average Chinese fare. It's only at dinner that they serve the good stuff that gets good reviews.

Was not aware of this, I've had a few lunches there that were pretty darn good. Ill have to try dinner some time. I've never spent the night in Shreveport area.

Had dinner there back in July, it was fantastic and the wine list is still expansive but they may not have some vintages listed (didn’t have my first pick).

I was alone and sat at the bar, someone else walked in to place a to-go order and said how much he loves the place and is bringing a group of 16 in later. So people still seem to like it.

I really loved the retro vibe in there, it’s a unique place.

Yes. Still open. I went in July when the AC was out. It was hot as shite. They have electronic locks on the bathrooms now. Food was essentially the same. They changed their egg rolls during Covid though, like every other Chinese restaurant. I hope they keep it going. I love that place.

Little wonder given the hotel that they occupy the property with. $200/week. SKETCHY.

Great restaurant though.

I saw something on the SEC network about that place. They showed they vending machine for that motel. They sold Vienna sausage in the vending machine.
