Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the SOH is instrumental in committee appointments and chairs, correct?

And KM being removed doesn't vacate the prior appointments, correct?

And part of the deal between Gaetz and his crew was over-representation on committees and chairs, right?

If these are all true, I can 100% understand why Gaetz wants gridlock in electing the new SOH

Hakeem Jeffries wants the job, and I project that he'll get it, with 213 D votes and 5 R.

It's not that nobody wants the job, it's that because of the shitbag republicans in the house, only a shitbag leftist can get elected SOH, and only so many of them are willing to be outed a shitbag leftist, marxist democrat caputulating, America last republicans.

Scalise wants it, but some other Republicans don't want him. He can't get enough votes. I wouldn't define that as "nobody wants the job"

He's dropping out because he doesn't have the votes.

Why would they? It’s career suicide for any republican.
