Okay, who you got? I know it’s LSU blasphemy putting Nabors and Thomas in the same conversation and rare air occupied by Beckham/Landry and Jefferson/Chase in LSU receiving duo legends, but so far Nabors and Thomas are looking special this year.

Regardless how history and LSU fans might rate these pairings, we lsu fans are lucky to have had all three. I would have a hard time picking any one receiver among the group, other than to say that on a fifty/fifty ball between any receiver and their best defender, give me Jarvis Landry. Lol. Jarvis wasn’t the fastest, but he always wanted the ball more than the other guy.

Brian Thomas is the fast riser. That dude is suddenly living up to, if not overliving up to, expectations. Nabors is exceptional after the catch. We are blessed, don’t take this latest pair for granted.

1. Chase Jefferson
2. Nabors Thomas
3. Odell Landry

i think Odell and Landry clearly effected by the offense they were in, but idk. I am a huuuuuge Landry fan but he maybe has the lowest ceiling of any of them.

Not the home run hitter the others were, but also made the most impressive catches

Chase and Jefferson are 2 NFL HoFers that were on the same team.

And yet were they even both in the top 10 of receiving yards/TDs? Halfway through the season both Thomas and Nabers are in the top 10 of both stats. That’s crazy.

Eta good Lord, Chase and Jefferson are so good. They were 1, 2 in the nation for the 2019 season in receiving yards and touchdowns.

Just wow

Terrace Marshall being the Top #3 WR had something to do with that.

1. Chase/Jefferson
2. Nabers/Thomas
3. OBJ/Landry

Big big gap between 1 and 2 though.

I’ll take Lamarr above all of ‘em.

Off topic but Jefferson and Landry would be pretty sweet on the same team.

No love for Josh Reed and Michael Clayton? 2,500 combined yards in ‘01.

1. Chase Jefferson
2. Odell Landry
3. Nabors Thomas

Odell and Landry in a modern spread out college offense would have been insane to watch.

Those pairings have one thing in common, they each played in two seasons that will end up in the top 11 all-time passing seasons (Mett is #10 for 2012 but will be #11 when this season is over for Daniels) And will have been the two principal targets for QBs who have a top 10 career at LSU. And they were great receivers.

IMO Landry had the best hands of all of them.

I think that Chase and Jefferson had the best combination of speed, strength, and hands for any pair I have ever seen at LSU. OBJ may have had a slight edge there individually (and I am not 100% on that either) but Chase and Jefferson were like have a 1a & 1b receiver and maybe even closer than that, like 1a+ and 1a-.

I think I come down with Chase/Jefferson as #1 but not sure about the other two pairs. I could talk myself into either pretty easily.

1. chase/jefferson
2. obj/landry
3. nabors/thomas

put obj/landry with burrows at qb and they would be very close to tie for 1st.

obj best individually
landry best hands

I will again preface this by saying I am a fan of all 4, but if we’re putting them in order Landry is still far behind Odell, Jefferson and Chase

if I could choose between elite hands with good speed and elite speed with just good hands I am taking elite speed 100%

but JJ and Chase probably had better than just good hands.

Yeah but Landry was also a fantastic route runner.

i disagree. elite speed with good hands = hilton. elite speed alone with only good hands and only good route running won't cut it.
