Like 95% of the people who work in MLB front offices these days are “analytics focused”. Odds are they will be replaced with people with similar backgrounds that Brown knows better.
Maybe this is what’s happening but there’s a lot of slant and speculation from whoever wrote it when the people in question haven’t been replaced yet

But when it comes to the big decisions, it feels like Crane and his "baseball people" will eventually get involved.
This is where I fall as well. How many times this year has Dana Brown made a statement only to have to walk it back or have it essentially dismissed/ignored by the clown field manager? Hell it happened just two weeks ago as we went into the final six games. The same thing happened to the previous GM in much the same manner.

How we feeling on the game fellers?
Not all fellers around these parts!
I'm feeling like we win! Bregman finds his bat, hits a double and Yordan hits another bomb to drive him in. Javier gives up a lone homer in the 3rd. We win 2-1.
A girl can dream, right?!?!

9-2 Astros , we're a road team

I agree. As a Twins fan, I haven't even been able to watch but two of our four games because they are happening during the regular workday hours. It's ridiculous. Not even the WNBA is this shitty schedule wise.

That column was brutal
The feature story written by McTaggart, who is an MLB.com employee. Ninety percent of what he writes are PR pieces because team and league websites are just PR sites.
When he has the occasional tweet that throws a jab at Dusty Baker, then you know Baker has done something really stupid. Most MLB.com writers aren’t going to be critical because they like being employed.
So no surprise he would bend at the knee of Maldonado. He was probably ordered to write that story.

Also went back and watched a bit of Sonny Gray’s first start in Minny back in April. It was an afternoon game like this one with wicked shadows
Mctaggart posted a pic yesterday 24 hours before first pitch and the shadows were already passed the mound thankfully

Phew, yea I thought about diving into how much that has changed with it being later in the year but I'm a moron and have no idea how the sun works so just left it general, thanks for posting the picture
More so noted that hoping it was the reason for the high strikeout number that day because the Hensdawg, Abreu, and Pena were absolutely flailing at some uncompetitive curveballs.

Have we talked about how horseshite it is that the reigning champs are playing the early game two days in a row in the the middle of the week?
Posted on 10/10/23 at 10:40 am to TigerFan91
With that trio, I don’t think shadows had anything to do with it

Well, this run has been good fellas.

Must not have been following the Astros long. It's the extremely normal horseshite treatment the Astros get. I just expect it by now.

I love how every defense piece of Maldy is unable to describe what makes him a good player and instead lists everything that makes him a coach. There's nothing he does on the field that can't be originated as a coach.

I’ve been following them for 25 years. Didn’t realize we couldn’t still bitch about it in here since we bitch about everything else

Crane has developed a Jerry Jones complex. Oh but don’t worry, he played baseball in college so he must know what he’s doing.

Yeah, Jerry played football at the University of Arkansas. How has that worked out for the Cowboys lately?

It's one thing if we're competing against the Yankees or Red Sox for the better time slot, but it's the fricking frick the Rangers and Orioles.
MLB hates us obviously, but whatever.

“In addition to the odd timing in the middle of the playoffs, it does feel rather alarming that the Astros would part ways with two more analytical mindsets as they continue to move away from what has built such a successful machine.

It was a fun run. Maybe, despite our manager, we can make one last run. When I look back on the last 6 years, I'll always wish we got another one from the Nationals or Braves. It's going to be tough watching this team play .500 ball for the next decade while we watch Dusty manage into his 80s and Moldy catch into his 40s and the baseball guys run the show

Tuck 9
Abreu 3
Yainer DH
Dubon 8

Mold 2
I’m actually very fine with Dubon playing. McCormick has scuffled lately
