I watched this kids film prior to getting his commitment and he was a thumper, a big time thumper.
With our lack of aggressive tackling and him being 6'3" 196 we could use that type of safety.
Any word on this young man and if he's injured?
He was one of those in the last class that I thought could see the field as a freshman.

Kelly was asked about him today. He made a joke about him something like “we got him to tie his shoes and take off his gold chain in pregame”. Could have just been a joke or he could be saying he’s immature. Went on to say he’s coming along and he’s a great kid, kinda sounded like he dosent think he’s quite ready

That's what alot of people don't understand on here that these young guys especially the db's take alittle time to understand the college zone schemes. These guys were the Alpha's in high school and pretty much could cover anyone one on one but now they are facing bigger, stronger, faster guys in college and the complex offenses ran in most colleges require a need to understand defensive schemes and zones which most freshman don't understand. Sure there are the exceptions like Derrick Stingley but most true freshman don't play for a reason in the secondary.

Kelly was asked about him today and did say that he may play late in the season. Players of his size and athleticism is what we are missing

He was able to out athlete everyone in high school. He was hard to coach in the respect he wanted to headhunt and go after the ball carrier. He could get away with that in high school but you can’t in the SEC. I’m not hating on the kid but not surprised he hasn’t seen the field yet.

I wonder how these more immature guys take it getting roasted publicly by their coach like that.

Kelly said he has matured to tying his shoe and taking off his gold chain, that's pretty bad,

Remember when we got downvotes last year after saying this exact same thing? The kid is an athlete but I’m surprised he’s made it this far. Very immature

This might be my biggest gripe with a House defense. His scheme is allegedly complex which means we need experienced guys to run it. In SEC ball, you might not have that luxury.

K Jackson is a good example of a kid with all the accolades, but they're making jokes about his maturity. I know there's a system and alignment and all, but eventually, theyll be forced to rely on young bucks.

Kelly also said Jackson would probably see the field later this season ... We are super thin in the secondary especially at the S position. Yates is playing but he's also a rookie. We just need to recruit some players to be able to come in and play. Easier said than done, obviously.
