Dude it happened right before fall camp
What did u expect him to do?

Now if it’s a concern after this season you can find a replacement after season

You really thought he didn't want a DLine coach? Come on!

It’s a good question.

Lindsey was rushed to the hospital the first or 2nd of August.

You could try and find a coach that fit our needs that was out of work, find a promising GA that from somewhere or hope someone on the staff could do it.

Kelly chose the last option, but it’s not like he had a lot of time or any really good options.

A couple of reasons.
#1 I guess he thinks he could eventually come back. Whether this year or next year. He didn’t want to cast him aside with a new hire. Probably can’t hire anyone this late and tell them they may not have a job come whenever Lindsay is healthy
#2 I guess he thought between 2 former defensive coordinators they knew how to coach the dline.

Because Kelly had to bring someone in that understood the scheme.

So you have to promote form within that close to the season.

Kelly said the other day that Jenkins has no part in the scheme or rotating DL in and out. He’s there purely for coaching them on technique.

It would be a fricking PR nightmare if they terminated him as soon as that happened are you crazy ? And on top of that people would’ve tried to make it a race thing as well

What stud defensive coach were you expecting them to bring in right before the season?

Not much going on up there and it's obvious

And as typical you'll make the original post, and you won't jump back in the thread bc you can't genuinely defend your take. Very sad and indicative of you not having much going on.

Should have contacted PETE JENKINS when it was determined that Lindsey would be out for a while.

CBK owned the fact that he should have hired someone like Jenkins earlier but somehow you have a bunch of posters trying to defend him saying it’s not his fault

It took game 5 for something to be done. 95 mil coach should be able to objectively identify gaps. No if ands or buts. After grambling we knew this was a consistent problem

I’m glad CBK owned up to it and now we can move forward
